Looking for a unit on emotions that will take your student through increasing levels of complexity? This unit on understanding, labeling and expressing emotion has 8 different levels going from simple to complex understanding. It begins with an explanation for students about what emotions are and includes non-verbal awareness of emotions. This unit uses the same 18 different emotions to help students better express how they (or others) feel beyond just "mad, happy and sad" in order to better pinpoint the area of concern and create the best solutions for troublesome emotions.
It is called "Egg Motions" because each level relates to a different way that eggs are cooked. Also, it is recommended to copy the emotion faces onto plastic Easter Eggs for several of the activities.
