Word Problems+ Easter Egg Hunt = A Math Time to Remember
I cut out word problems and put them into different colored Easter eggs. Students find the eggs, take out the story problem, glue it in their notebook, and then solve. I have students record their answers on a answer sheet for accountability. I can then ask to see their notebook if they are incorrect or I want to check their strategies.
-2 different version of the answer sheet (1 with the egg colors I use, and one with just problem numbers)
-10 word problems within 120 (addition, subtraction, multiple addends, 2 step word problems)
