This unit is an overview of the country of Egypt and includes resources from both ancient and present times, though it is a bit more geared toward the ancient times. It was written primarily with second graders in mind, though it may also be suitable for end-of-the-year firsties or for early-in-the-year third graders. It contains both math and language arts activities, including word wall cards and writing forms (write-the-room type of activity), an addition color-by-number page, three Egyptian writing prompt pages, ten differentiated chart copy pages and pictures (see preview for explanation of how to use these), three interactive notebook pages on modern-day Egypt (covers Egyptian flag, location on a world map, favorite foods, language, common animals, and famous landmarks), a contraction practice center (includes recording form), a roll and graph center (includes paper die), and an Egyptian page topper craftivity.
If you purchase and enjoy this unit, I would really appreciate your feedback! Thank you!
