Overview of this eight parts of speech quiz:
The twenty sentences have multiple choice options. Students will be prompted to choose a part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, adverb, preposition, conjunction, interjection). They will then have three options. I have included an example in the preview.
Possible Uses:
This parts of speech quiz is a quick exit ticket, pre-assessment, or scaffolded practice. When I teach the eight parts of speech with older students, this grammar activity provides them with immediate feedback.
Extra Ideas:
You can use this parts of speech activity across grade levels and classes. Since differentiation is important in grammar, not every student needs to complete this!
