What educators are saying

This resource was easy to use with both my in-person students and my online students. It was a great way for them to review the 8 parts of speech.
Great resource! Excellent review for my students! They were able to see what they needed additional work on. I also used it to guide review for the test.

Need a quick eight parts of speech quiz? This self-grading grammar quiz covers the parts of speech and will download immediately to your Google Drive.

Included are twenty sentences in a Google Form for studying parts of speech. The grammar activity grades itself.

Overview of this eight parts of speech quiz:

The twenty sentences have multiple choice options. Students will be prompted to choose a part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, adverb, preposition, conjunction, interjection). They will then have three options. I have included an example in the preview.

Possible Uses:

This parts of speech quiz is a quick exit ticket, pre-assessment, or scaffolded practice. When I teach the eight parts of speech with older students, this grammar activity provides them with immediate feedback.

Extra Ideas:

You can use this parts of speech activity across grade levels and classes. Since differentiation is important in grammar, not every student needs to complete this!

As a bonus? The creator of this eight parts of speech activity is the published author of The English Grammar Workbook for Grades 6, 7, & 8.

Perfect for a quick review of the parts of speech. Well-made and easy to follow. Includes good descriptions of the various parts of speech beyond just the basic so it is more appropriate for upper grade.

I purchased this resource to use as a review of the eight parts of speech once my school district went to e-learning this past spring. It was just what I need to help review grammar concepts with my students.
