A fun project for Spanish class based on El Camino de Santiago (The Way of St. James). The project can be used after studying El Camino and/or viewing the movie "The Way."
The project incorporates culture while students create a pilgrimage based on El Camino de Santiago.
They also demonstrate their knowledge of Spanish past subjuncitve mood and the conditional.
The pilgrimage includes where to begin, the destination and why a pilgrim would go there, stops along the way and what a person would do there. The project must have a map, a highlighted route with the destinations, the distance traveled, and a prize that the pilgrim would receive.
Students can work individually or in groups.
