Notes template with visuals for using the present vs. imperfect to describe weather. There are three columns - I like to use the third for student practice, either writing questions or describing weather from last week, last month, etc.
What this looks like in my classroom:
As a bell-ringer and refresher activity, I have my students fill out as many of the descriptors in the "present" column. We then check answers and fill in missing terms and begin to talk about the daily objective: I can describe weather in the past.
I lead students through completing the second column - using this guided notes activity as a time to refresh students on imperfect endings and time expressions.
