There is a writing assignment for the students to do at the bottom of the last page. Our 3rd graders were able to use this script but needed some vocabulary front loaded. Those words are on the cover page. We use reader's theaters to encourage our students to practice fluency. As you know, students need to speak and read Spanish in order to become fluent and reader's theater is a wonderful way to motivate them to do both. There is only one color picture on the script and that is on the cover. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice and you get less off task behaviors. Our names are Julio Lopez and Melanie Whitesides but our store name is LosDosMaestros and we hope that your students enjoy this script as much as ours did. If you like this script look for the other ones created for Earth Day at our store. Please let us know how things go!
