This is a great activity for the end of Spanish 1, especially when your students are day-dreaming about summer, but you'd like to keep them focused on Spanish. The first page has a summer-themed wordfind with pictures, so even if they haven't learned all of the words (such as 'el trampolin' or 'la sandia'), students can figure them out with the comprehensible input.
The second page takes each of the 12 summer words and uses them in a sentence, but with the main verb missing. Students see the infinitive verb in parenthesis, and they need to conjugate them to match the subjects. An example sentence is "Mi hermana y yo _________ el helado. (compartir)"
This would work well as a homework assignment, in-class activity, or as an extra credit opportunity. I plan on taking my students outside for the last 15 minutes of class on a sunny day, and letting them work on this in the fresh air :) I hope you find a fun use for this product! An answer key is included.
