Product Description
This activity uses creative writing to practice the preterite and the imperfect. In a twist on the traditional reading comprehension activities, it asks students to "answer" the questions before reading the story (which doesn't actually exist). The students must use their imagination to invent answers while paying attention to verbal tense. After imagining their responses, students write an original story that matches their answers. This has always been one of the most fun and successful activities I have used with my students!
