This download includes 24 elapsed time task cards/word problems and a recording sheet. Use these cards in your classroom during small group centers or use them in a game of scoot. My favorite way to use these cards is in a game of scoot with my students! Aren't familiar with scoot? All you have to do is place one card on each of your students' desks. Give each student a recording sheet and have them answer each problem as they move from desk to desk. I always set a timer and students move when the timer buzzes. Such a fun way to get students practice math AND moving around the room!
These elapsed time Word problems ask your students to find one of three things: the time the activity started, the time the activity ended, or the length of time an event lasts.
Common Core Standard: 3.MD.1.
