Do your students need help learning about elapsed time? Then this is the unit for you.
Included in this packet there are lesson plans for beginning with the basics of elapsed time that end with looking at two clocks to determine how much time has elapsed. There are 24 different elapsed time cards and answer choice card matches, twenty-eight time stamped cards, twenty-eight time elapsed question cards, as well as twenty cards that will challenge students to determine how much time has elapsed between the two clocks. These activities could be used in several different ways. They could be used as a mini-lesson and then put in a center for additional practice. Students can use this as an individual activity or work with a partner. Both activities could also be used as an assessment. The card sets could be used during small group instruction or as a warm-up activity. To make the match up game more fun, both students could have a set of the cards and race to see who could match up the cards the quickest.
