This activity is a pre-reading strategy. Prior to the students beginning Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, they would take part in this fun activity. This previewing strategy is great for introducing plot, conflict, characterization, vocabulary, literary devices, and thematic ideas. It promotes group discussion and piques students' interest. They enjoy moving around the room and are more involved in small and large group discussions. If the students are not able to move about, this activity can be done at the students' desks. This is an original carousel created by Christine Fry.
