Project Grading Rubric
I teach a middle school (7th and 8th grade) special education class, so I have kids on the pre-k level all the way to the 5th grade level. Depending on what you teach will depend on what activities you use.
Pair these activities and this whole project with current events, videos of past debates, news on the election, crafts, and other enrichment activities!
I included candidates #1-#3 for the information sheets on each one. Right now, there are really only two candidates in the running, but you never know what could happen!
Pending what happens with the election, I will be updating (possibly adding things) to this project the closer we get to Election Day!
There are certain terms in this project such as “Obamacare” that you will need to teach your students as you go.
This project is really designed to allow your students to think about politics and how it applies to them. It’s designed to make them think for themselves, how they would vote if they could, and what they believe! It’s so important for kids to be able to think for themselves and this project really allows them to do that.
PLEASE REMEMBER: When you buy this product, make sure you leave feedback! I want to make sure I am improving in any way that I can! Plus, I always love to hear if it is a great product for your classroom. :)
