Ready for Election 2016? Stay focused on standards, not politics. Student groups create an election campaign for their favorite sentence structure and then elect their favorite sentence structure. Sentence Election Cooperative Learning Activity. This is a fun Language Arts middle school activity on sentence structure! Student groups make a slogan, a speech, and a poster to campaign for the best sentence structure: simple, compound, complex, or compound – complex. Each group will present their platform to the class.
Includes teacher directions, student directions slide to project overhead, student directions handout with requirements and scoring checklist, ballots, and a slide to print out with sentence structures on them for group selection.
