Product Description
This project is designed to integrate math and social studies concepts. The project is divided into three, main parts.

Student Instructions: Your team of super smart social scientists and mathematicians hopes to get hired by one of the candidates. It doesn’t matter which one; you are an independent group without ties to either party. You will thus develop a strategic plan for both contestants: President Barack Obama and Republican Candidate Mitt Romney. In addition, there has been discussion – in the past and recently - about eliminating the Electoral College and moving to a popular vote. Along with your analysis and recommendations for the 2012 election, both the Republicans and the Democrats would like you to evaluate their party’s support of the Electoral College. Is the Electoral College and “winner-take-all” process currently favoring one party over the other? Should we move to a system that is more fair?
