Electing a literary mascot allows for a meaningful election in your classroom. It is a great review of characters you have read about throughout the year. Their personalities make for an interesting election without it becoming a student popularity contest.

The PowerPoint, rubrics, and ballots are all editable. The unit takes about 2 weeks to finish, but the process is very easy to modify to meet the needs of your classroom and students.
