This group assignment divides the class into election campaign committees for the Election of 1828. At the end of the project, everyone will vote for a candidate they believe would have won an election based on the campaign put forth. There are 10 items at a bare minimum students must address and they are laid out in the handout. A points distribution is included. This is an opportunity for students to get creative, research, interact with each other, and act out historical events.
