Product Description
This group assignment divides the class into election campaign committees for the Election of 1828. At the end of the project, everyone will vote for a candidate they believe would have won an election based on the campaign put forth. There are 10 items at a bare minimum students must address and they are laid out in the handout. A points distribution is included. This is an opportunity for students to get creative, research, interact with each other, and act out historical events.

Sample items students will cover from their candidates point of view:
--tariffs
--foreign policy
--the National Bank
--campaign slogans, and more!!!

This pairs well with these items:
Primary Source Analysis for the Election of 1828 and President Jackson's Inauguration
