Help your students differentiate among the various types of electric circuits with this engaging sorting activity! This is great to use for a review or assessment during your electricity unit.
Students will review open, closed, parallel, and series circuits. For each circuit, there is a definition, real-world example, circuit picture, and circuit diagram.
This resource includes a hands-on printable version as well as a digital version in Google Slides™. Use in your classroom or for distance learning!
Students cut apart the 16 sorting cards and place them in the correct columns in the chart. They can glue them when finished. Alternatively, you can laminate the materials for long-term use in a center.
Students click and drag to move the sorting cards to the correct columns in the chart. Please note that you will need a Google account to use this paperless version.
Answer keys are included.
This resource supports 2010 Virginia Science SOL 4.3.
