These digital science activities cover electrical energy transformations, including mechanical energy (motion), radiant energy (light), and thermal energy (heat).. These resources are 100% online and can be used on Google Classroom and Google Drive. This Google Slides resource also includes an answer key.
This product includes:
♥ Drag-&-drop: match the vocabulary and definition (energy, energy transformation, electrical energy, radiant energy, thermal energy, mechanical energy)
♥ Drag-&-drop: sort the items into the kind of energy that they create (ex.: lamp, hammer, bicycle)
♥ Drag-&-drop: finish the sentences about energy transformations
♥ Drag-&-drop: drag the type of energy to the picture that it demonstrates (ex: fan, toaster, lamp)
♥ Drag-&-drop: drag the type of electrical energy that each picture shows
♥ Short answer: 6 Google Slides with images of real-life objects and ask what is the energy transformation seen in the picture, and what else is produced?
♥ Short answer: brainstorm examples for each category (electrical energy, heat/thermal energy, light energy, mechanical energy)
This products covers Virginia VA SOLs:
VA SOL 4.3: The student will investigate and understand the characteristics of electricity. Key concepts include
4.3D: the ability of electrical energy to be transformed into light and motion, and to produce heat;
These Google Classroom products can work whether or not you have technology in the classroom. If you are in a 1:1 technology classroom, this product is perfect for you! It will also work great if you only have a few computers in your classroom. Students can use these products during literacy centers and rotate off computers.
