Description
This lab builds on the previous lab by introducing the first Series Circuit Lab. Introducing two resistors in series and how to calculate and measure circuit parameters like Total Resistance in a Series Circuit. Rt = R1 + R2. Answers should be Base units and not in powers of 10. My experience has been that using scientific notation at this point is confusing to the beginning student and not necessary yet. Teaching students to show all their work is very important at this point and keeping everything in Base units helps them to easily check their work. Some advanced students may be able to handle scientific notation and the choice is yours but I do not recommend it at this point.
