Product Description
Students learn and identify the various sources of electricity in their everyday lives from the electricity powering their school, to the electricity powering appliances in their homes.

The package offers teachers an opportunity to asses their students' understanding of how electricity works and electrical knowledge.

The lesson is unique in that it offers a chance for assessment of student knowledge at the beginning or completion of the electricity unit. I personally use this lesson to kick-start the electricity unit I teach to my grade six students and it is great to watch as they make connections and begin to understand the processes that humans have designed to generate the sources of electricity into their homes and the length of the journey an electrical current takes to enter into a building from its initial source will be an experience that will astonish your students. In addition, students will learn how current and static electricity enters their lives through practical examples. The lesson always leads to lots of questions, which is wonderful as it sets the tone for other lessons on electricity.
