This graphic organizer was designed to be done after students complete notes about the basics of the electromagnetic spectrum, EMS
(order of waves, basic facts about each, etc.). It can also be used as a way to check comprehension of independently assigned bookwork.
Vocabulary students will need to know or be able to look up to complete this graphic organizer are: radio wave, microwave, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet rays, x-rays, gamma rays, wavelength, frequency, energy
I do interactive notebooks in my classroom and have the students complete their notes on the right side of the notebook, so this graphic organizer goes in the left side of the notebook on the page facing the notes. It is also set up so students could turn in the paper instead.
An answer key is provided
to make checking student work easier.
