PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This cool activity will improve your student’s skills at electron configuration and orbital notation in a single class period. They are up and active instead of doing a worksheet and you’ll hear conversations about why electrons are moving into the orbitals that will thrill your scientific heart!

You’ll get print outs to build a class set of electron activity kits (2-3 students per group), two versions of the student worksheet with a key (one with and the other without Lewis dot diagrams), and a follow up quiz (2 versions) with keys. Expect preparing the kits to take a couple of hours unless you plan it so that the first student groups using them cut it all out. The kits last for years. All you have to do is pull them out of storage and go!

Grading is quick and painless using cell phones to take photographs and gets you BYOD points.

This is a great activity to review your AP chemistry or AP biology students on the topic for your classes.
