This is a student centered, hands on project. This project will help students become more familiar with the Periodic table, specific elements and the physical properties of those elements, Students learn to master differences between atomic mass, atomic number and mass number. This is a great project to review concepts you've taught as well as concepts you are just now teaching. I suggest copying double-sided pages for a class set. Hand out to students and allow them to use copy paper or construction paper to copy each element and the questions beneath. This project can be in class or out of class. Read directions and complete one element for students.
