Need a good bulletin board idea that also teaches student the element AND atomic structure?
This one is great!
I have each student chose a different element from the periodic table. Students with lower numbers may get two elements if I do not have enough students on my rosters that year, or I give the lower numbers to the students who need less work.
The materials for the card are 8.5x11 paper folded in half. For "trons" (proton and neutrons) I either us the punches of paper hole punches of different colored paper, and glue, but one year I found sticker dots that were very small. Also, for the larger number elements, I have the large sticker dots that can represent 10 "trons".
