PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Your students will love this project!

I created this project to give my students a fun and engaging way to learn about physical and chemical properties of elements. Most element projects out there just mention superheroes. However, many elements align more with a villain than a superhero (like Chlorine!). I give my students creative freedom to fully personify one element on the periodic table into a superhero OR a villain.

To make this project even more engaging, I allow my students to design their superhero or villain using a free website called Hero Machine. I have included a huge bundle of resources, 19 pages to guide you and your students to success! Read below to find out what's included.

This product contains:
★ A student direction page which sets clear guidelines but also allows for student creativity & choice
★ An element sign-up sheet
★ A two page research graphic organizer which will help students find out relevant information about their chosen element
★ A page of eleven reliable website links for research purposes
★ A comic character biography page
★ Two examples of completed heroes that I created using the website "Golden Audrey" & "Chlorine Gaseous Gary"
★ Eight predesigned templates that students can use if you do not want them using the website, or if you do not have access to technology. These templates are base templates that I created using the heromachine program. Students can add detail and extra images to make their individual superhero/villain element come alive
★ Two pages of helpful hints describing the steps I use to deliver this lesson to my students and hints that will help you use the HeroMachine Creator
