Colorful and graphic, this set of pages takes beginning elementary algebra students through the steps for solving whole-number addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems. Color-coded according to the steps for each process, makes noticing the differences easier to do and recall. First, a question mark is used for the "unknown" (the "I don't know number"), followed by clip-art objects to represent the "unknown", and last the letter "n". Two pages of mixed problems are included after practice with fun equations. The last page is more difficult since it uses multi-digits. Another graphic product by Debra A. Boyle, M.Ed.
