In this lesson we will review the elements of art and learn about a new artist, Paul Klee. Students look through a gallery of Paul Klee's artwork and assess his use of the EOA. We also look for hidden meanings and form our own interpretations of the pieces.
Based on what we see in Klee's Art we will now create our own work. These lessons have been a real joy to teach. Students of all age levels are pulled into Klee's work and are successful at creating their own pieces inspired by his.
Although I used this as a 5th grade lesson it can be scaffolded for other grade levels by changing the NGSSS. As with all my lessons Marzano's DQs have been included in the presentation.
My teaching schedule allows me to see each class once a week. The teaching duration reflects this schedule. Thanks for stopping by my store. Please let me know if you have any questions.
