Great introductory painting lesson for grades K-3 based on the abstract paintings of Alma Woodsey Thomas. Students will be inspired and delighted with what they can make in a short time. This allows plenty of time for teacher to demonstrate proper handling of brush and painting procedures.
In addition to a professionally formatted lesson plan, you will receive two closure/early finisher activities and three student examples. This lesson has been classroom tested successfully grades K-2 in an urban school district. It was the first painting lesson of the year for K-1.
