Introduce perspective the fun and easy way. This unit of 3 lessons will cover 3-4 (40-minute) classes. Professionally formatted with New National Arts Standards, objectives, input, suggested modifications. This lesson was classroom tested with 3rd grade but could easily move up or down. Students get the feel for perspective by observing casual devices of perspective used to create depth. This is NOT a 1-point or 2-point perspective lesson. This would be a pre-cursor to that.
Student examples and the worksheet I used with my classes are included so you can download and teach right away. Teacher could tie into or post pictures from "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" although that is not part of this lesson. Suggestions for incorporating a VanGogh twist are also included.
Key ideas: Value, Watercolor Painting, Resist Technique, Overlapping, Placement, Depth, Horizon Line, Silhouette.
