PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This unit was created to encompass several standards from both art and math in an effort to show students how art connects to the world. Marzano's DQs have been incorporated into the 9 week unit.

This unit not only teaches students about art, but art history as well. After learning about how art connects to other subject areas and the history of M.C. Escher, students create clay tessellations and printmaking designs. These lessons can be interchanged between grade levels by simply adjusting the standards, LG, and scales.

Doctor Who is my class theme this year, and we are traveling through space and time to visit artists and learn about the different styles throughout history. If this does not work with your classroom feel free to take that part out. :-)

My teaching schedule allows me to see each class once a week. The teaching duration reflects this schedule. Thanks for stopping by my store. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Beth
