Description
This elementary art or middle school art project pack focuses on symmetry in art through a symmetrical collage project. Students are introduced to Henri Matisse and Georges Braque as inspiration for the project, with symmetry and shape as the focus.
Students learn how to cut shapes from folded paper to create symmetrical shapes and how to carefully layer and glue their pieces to create a symmetrical collage. This project teaches important art basics while using low supplies. Only paper, scissors, and glue are needed.
