This Bucket Drum Curriculum is a great introduction to Rhythm Studies for your Elementary Students! This unit covers the most basic fundamentals of rhythm, and bucket drum playing specifically designed for young learners. This is also designed not only for just young learners, but for beginner drummers just starting out!

There are 4 lessons designed to address the fundamentals of rhythm notation, along with many other supplemental resources that could last you the entire year. Supplemental Resources include 7 Video play along tracks, 45 Rhythm Cards, and 30 Rhythm Worksheets with multiple activities.

The Videos:

The Videos increase in difficulty rhythmically, but the tempo is always at a steady 80BPM for a comfortable pace as students practice their reading abilities. The videos will display a single measure of rhythms and these measures repeat 3 times in total, leaving a fourth measure as a momentary pause for students to get ready for the next rhythm displayed in the video. These rhythms light up in time which will aid your students in their instinct to speed up or slow down, and will enhance their ability to read-follow along reading rhythm notation! The videos will definitely will be the most valuable and exciting part of this resource to your students! Please note you need internet access to play these videos!
