Use three PowerPoint™
presentations (two have been saved as movies!) and a collection of common materials to introduce the intensive and extensive properties of solids
After the activity, students read a short text
about the properties of solids. Choose from two different reading levels, two different image types (blackline and color), and two languages (English and Spanish). There are recordings
for a student who might benefit from hearing the information.
Students list the properties of a variety of common materials in their science notebook or on worksheets
included with your purchase. They can challenge classmates to identify the solid they've described using only physical properties.
