With this lesson students will create, and write, their own class book! Based on the KIDS book Virginia Wolf by Kyo Maclear, students will brainstorm what their "perfect place" would be. Beginning by closing their eyes and visualizing and perfect place, students will then use a worksheet (INCLUDED) to brainstorm all the things that would be in their perfect place - and then draw those things. The next day students will create their own page for the classes "perfect place" book. Half the page is a few written sentences about their perfect place, and the top of the page is a drawing of what it looks like.
Afterward the teacher will bind the book together with a beautiful editable cover (INCLUDED) and present the book to the class. Then, when students are having a bad day they are able to take some time and find happiness by looking through their perfect place book!
