Tired of hearing "What did I miss yesterday?" when your students are absent? Me too. Use this daily planner and agenda in Google Slides to house everything your students use and need in one place!
Here's how I do it: each day, I copy and paste the prior day's slide, update the information, link to that day's materials, and viola! The slide is displayed on my screen as students walk in so they immediately know what to take out, what we'll be doing that day, and what the homework is. It also includes my daily warm-up.
This means if a student is absent or is on independent study, they do not have to ask you what they missed! They can simply reference your slides. I embed my slideshow on to my Weebly website. The best part? Next year, you already have an archive of your daily lessons to look back on! All you have to do is update as needed.
I make a new planner for each unit we study since I teach secondary history and keep them all embedded on my site. This also allows parents to see exactly what we are doing and more importantly, what the homework is! It provides students an archive too, allowing them to look back on slideshows, handouts, and other materials used in class throughout the unit.
This template includes 5 themes taken from slidescarnival.com. I like to add a special touch by using images that relate to my units as my backgrounds too, which you will see in my entire unit example I also included a link to.
