This is an amazing "Choose Your Own Adventure" story that allows the teacher or counselor to create their own story with details allowing for students' success and progression. It puts children in the roles of Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Winnie the Pooh, and others so that they may play out they may play out the story as cartoon characters. The second key concept is that, as the story unfolds, students are given tangible items that help to identify their character (i.e. a mask for a cartoon character or picnic basket with real food). Educators may also use the story to work in any specific things they want their students to practice (i.e. responsibility, friendship, or courage against a bully). This particular lesson may incorporate all of these, and is specifically geared to educate kids on stranger danger.
