Utilize every bit of your instructional day with these basic skills review line-up cards! These cards pull double duty as an excellent classroom management tool AND an instructional tool for reviewing/practicing crucial basic skills.
Ever find yourself lining up a few extra minutes too soon? Or maybe your specialist just isn't quite ready for your class yet? Maybe you have an awkward five minutes "extra" transition time in your schedule? Or maybe your class could just use more practice when they least expect it. :o)
Each card is a half-page in size and includes a sight word at the top (most sight words in this (basic) pack from the Dolch Primer list, with a few of the more difficult Pre-Primer words). In the middle are two math facts: an addition fact (sums to 10) and a subtraction fact (minuends from 10). At the bottom of each card is a fluent phrase, taken from the First 100 Words on Fry's Instant Phrases list. It's like weaving Precision Teaching right into your everyday line up routine!
Simple shapes accompany each review box so you can easily draw your students' attention to the area you'd like them to review. With Pre-K, Kinder, and Firsties, "Everyone look at the Star Box," is so much easier than "Everyone look at the addition problem." :o)
This grayscale version is perfect for teachers looking to save a little printer ink. They'll copy well onto colored paper and laminate for extra durability when taped to the floor.
