This is a 5 page packet for a unit on perimeter. It addresses the basic concept of counting the units for perimeter, and does not require the student to measure the shapes. Each page has 4 shapes on a dotted grid for the student to count how many units each shape has on its perimeter.
This packet is geared towards second grade, but can be used with advanced first graders, and remedial 3rd - 4th graders. The shapes get progressively more irregular on each page, thereby allowing the student to master skills in perimeter. This also allows the teacher to differentiate instruction based on skills.
This packet can be used as center work, homework, extra practice, homeschooling curriculum, or bell ringer work.
