See a FREE sample of a kindergarten lesson plan here to get a feel for my style and what you could expect to see with this set: Kindergarten Lesson Plan {Day 1} - Free Sample of Semester Long Plans
These lessons are sequential, so it would be advised if purchasing individually to purchase in order even if you are starting them later in your year.

Lessons 1-24 have all been added to this bundle and it is now complete.

It also includes the following freebies:

I Have, Who Has - sol mi
Post Office sol-mi
Bobby Shafto (rhythm slides)
Lemonade (melodic slides)
Come Back Home My Little Chicks (melodic slides)
Bluebird - rhythm writing worksheet and visuals
Rain Rain Go Away (rhythm slides)
Sol-mi listening assessment
Sol-mi composition worksheet

These lessons are aligned with the new Core Arts Standards and includes a scripted lesson plans full of ideas for your first semester with first grade.

The year begins with review of the following concepts learned in kindergarten (four voices, fast/slow, loud/soft, high/low, and steady beat). By week three we will begin preparing rhythm as the way the words go. By the end of lesson 24 we will have presented rhythm, ta and titi and sol-mi.

Use of these lesson plans: The intention of these lesson plans is to serve as a guide to you as you do your own planning. It is not meant to replace your lesson planning or to be turned into your principal as your own. If you are able to use the ideas in these lessons, great. If it helps guide you in creating your own, lovely. If you need or wish to supplement with other songs because you don’t have the resource I use, or would prefer to use another song for the same concept, that’s wonderful. I will tell you where I have found all of the resources that I am using, and include links to anything that comes from my blog or TpT store.

It is NOT intended to be a set of "print and teach" lesson plans. Every classroom and music teacher is different. We each have our own students, schedules, time restraints, resources, and experiences that make our music program what it is. I will not be able to customize this to fit your different schedules, etc. This resource is intended to give you a peek into my classroom to see what exactly I am teaching and HOW I am sequencing my songs, activities, lessons, and concepts. My hope is that it gives you some new ideas about lesson planning, transitions, classroom management, song materials, and just how I weave my lesson together. It is a model for you as you are planning.
