★Each grade comes with several original songs and warm-ups. Notation (including piano accompaniment) for the songs as well as MP3 sound files are included in this product! The piano accompaniment for each song requires beginner to moderate skill level. The sound files include both full score and accompaniment only. They were recorded using music notation software and do not include human voices singing the melody; although, I recently added separate sound files of myself singing each melody to aid teachers who cannot read music.

    Extra Materials Needed:
✓A projector is required to use the PowerPoint presentations.
✓A Smart Board is not required but is helpful when utilizing portions of this resource. If you do not have a Smart Board in your classroom, simply allow students to click the mouse at your computer to view interactive features throughout the resource (some pages include clickable objects).
✓Several of the grades contain PowerPoint presentations that introduce students to common classroom instruments. These instruments include: rhythm sticks, maracas, guiros, sand blocks, hand drums, cabasas, conga drums, djembes, tambourines, triangles, cow bells, castanets, finger cymbals, and bongo drums. If you do not have these instruments in your classroom, these pages are a great way to introduce students to instruments they would otherwise have no exposure to
✓ For Rhythm Judo (5th Grade), students can use rhythm or drum sticks to play the rhythms on buckets or drums. If you do not have these materials, students can use their hands and play on chairs or the floor!
✓ 3 of the songs and corresponding PowerPoint presentations were designed to be used with xylophones or other similar instruments. If you do not own xylophones, metallophones, or other similar instruments, you will have to omit these songs or allow students to play them on other pitched instruments.
✓ Other materials needed to implement these lessons include: recorders (for 4th grade), colored pencils, plastic sandwich bags, file folders, non-pitched percussion instruments of your choice, paper clips or clothespins, scissors, dice, a brown bag, two small different colored balls, popsicle sticks, pennies, a button, and one stringed instrument of your choice (examples include a guitar, ukulele, or violin)

★PowerPoint files come in both PDF and PowerPoint formats. All printables come in PDF. This product is not editable.
