Grades Suggested: Kindergarten - First

Book Format-Colorful Pictures (26 pages)

In this lesson, students will get to meet the greatest composer, where he lived in and what instruments he played.

The substitute will READ the story, SHOW the students the colorful pictures, and frequently ASK QUESTIONS about what they heard or saw. Students will learn Vocabulary Words, practice SAYING the words by Syllable, COUNTING the Syllables and SPELLING the words.

Worksheets include: students Identifying the Instrument pictures, the Shape of Germany, practice Writing Instrument names and numbers, Color By Code and extra Coloring sheets for early finishers.

Also included are Classroom Teacher notes, Substitute Teacher Instructions and Answer Keys.

♫ The Violin ♫

Grades Suggested: Kindergarten - First

Book Format-Colorful Pictures (78 pages)

This lesson explores: the Different Parts of the Violin, Ways to Produce Sound on it, Country of origin and a quick tour of the Seating of the Orchestra Families.

The substitute will READ the story, SHOW the students the Colorful Pictures, Direct the students to IDENTIFY the Parts of the Violin on a Color By Code worksheet during the reading of the story.

Parts of the Violin include: Front-Back-Pegs-String Names-Sound Holes-Tailpiece-Chin Rest-Bridge-Fingerboard-Neck and Bow.

Students will also be guided by the substitute during the reading to IDENTIFY the Instrument Family Seating Sections in an Orchestra on A Color By Code worksheet.

This lesson also includes: Vocabulary, Syllable and Spelling work. Additional Color By Code and extra Coloring Sheets Classroom Teacher Notes, Substitute Instructions and Answer Keys included.
