**EDITABLE!!** Looking for sub plans for your music room? This product has ready-to-use lesson plans for the elementary music classroom. The lesson plans can be taught by ANY substitute teacher--even those without musical experience! No need to scramble to write sub plans when you or your loved ones are sick...this packet includes enough sub plans for about two weeks (depending on how often you see your students.)

This product include 8 lesson plans {3 lessons for Kindergarten, 4 for first grade, 4 for second grade, 4 for third grade, 4 for fourth grade, and 4 for fifth grade--most of the lesson plans are written for more than one grade.} Lessons state objectives, materials, process, and NCCAS standards met. Many of them are linked to the Common Core standards. Lesson plans come in PDF form and in Word so you can edit and adapt them as needed! Each lesson plan includes singing, instrument playing, listening, writing, and/or children's literature.

The lessons include:

*Speak, Sing, and Dance (lesson plan for Kindergarten; includes "Star Light" mp3. This lesson does suggest the use of a specific book, but a book within your own library could be substituted.)

*Down by the Bay (lesson plan for K-2; includes "Down by the Bay" mp3, story cards, and create-a-verse worksheet for use in centers)

*Itsy Bitsy Spider (lesson plan for K-1; includes "Itsy Bitsy Spider" mp3, story cards, and tracing worksheet for use in centers)

*Color the rhythms (lesson plan for 1-5; includes rhythm cards and worksheets for ta and ti-ti, quarter rest, half note, tika-tika, and ti-tika, as well as musical math worksheets for more difficult rhythms. Just copy the worksheets for the appropriate grade level and you are ready to go!)

*Color the solfa (lesson plan for 1-5; includes hand sign visuals and worksheets for sol-mi, la, do, re, high do, and fa. Just copy the worksheets for the appropriate grade level and you are ready to go!)

*Tika-tika sorting and storytelling (lesson plan for grades 2-3; includes song visuals)

*Instruments of the Orchestra (lesson plan for grades 3-5; includes several instrument visuals. This plan requires connection to the internet and a way to project your computer screen for your students to see, such as a LCD projector or SMART board.)

*What a Wonderful World comparison (lesson plan for grades 4-5; includes Venn Diagram worksheet. This lesson plan does suggest the use of one and possibly two picture books; links to where to buy those books are included. This lesson also requires two different recordings of "What a Wonderful World"; these could not be included for copyright reasons.)

The set also includes:

*Notes from the substitute teacher: Editable document that you can print for your sub to leave detailed notes

*Sub plan checklist: A table for each grade level, so you can keep track of which class has done which lesson

*Sub lesson plan template

*Editable sub tub information packet: A packet of jungle-themed information for your sub to fill out, with pages for daily schedules, school information, etc. Schedules include Monday-Friday as well as A day-E day, depending on your school's schedule.
