*** 2016 - 2017 school year has been added!! ***
There are three versions of this planner in the download – The first two are PDF files – one with all of the dates for the 2016 – 2017 school year, and one with no dates filled in -- you can print it then add the dates to the calendar yourself (or if your students are old enough and responsible enough, you can take a few minutes each month to fill out the calendar together, which is a great skill for them to learn!) Please note that the PDF versions of the planner are NOT editable. The third version is a fully editable version which has been saved as a POWERPOINT file (please make sure you have PowerPoint and know how to use it before purchasing, because the PDF file is NOT editable). I have added the dates for the current 2016-17 school year, and all the text boxes are fully editable to add your own announcements, special dates, etc. I have also included links to all of the fonts used throughout the file, which are all FREE for personal use, and of course you can change the fonts if you don't like the ones I chose to use :)
The following pages are included in the download -- feel free mix and match them to make the perfect planner for your needs...
**Please download the preview to see a sample of the pages included**
-- Cover pages: 2 designs (melonheadz backpack kidlette theme, and "out of this world" space theme) -- each come with and without grade levels, along with a blank one for your to add your own text. All cover pages come in both full color and black and white to save ink. The blackline covers look great on colored cardstock or you can copy them on white card stock and let your students color them (download the preview to see how my students decorated theirs).
-- Monthly behavior calendars: customize the notes at the bottom to explain your classroom color code for card pulls, clip charts, etc.
-- Monthly calendar: add announcements, have students record reading minutes, etc.
-- Daily homework sign off pages: these pages can be used to track homework not completed in class OR homework completed at home (such as practicing math facts, reading minutes, spelling / word work, etc.) This page also works great for students that need daily accountability for homework or incomplete class work. ** please note, there is only ONE page included for each month -- I printed multiple copies and hand-wrote the dates prior to copying the full planner, but you could also duplicate the pages in PowerPoint and add the dates that way too - whichever is easier for you :)
-- Monthly communication log: I include one of these pages at the end of each month for parents to write notes and stay in touch with me (excusing absences, requesting homework, etc.) This can also be used if you need to write a note to the parents.
-- Reading logs: students can record the date, title of the book, and number of minutes read.
-- Username and password sheet: if your students have a lot of usernames and passwords to remember, this is a great resource for them to have at home so they can login to websites anytime they wish.
Once you've chosen the pages you wish to use, you can either print and staple them as a small monthly calendar, or you can bind them together for the entire year. I have included some pictures of how I made my planners this year for your reference. I hope you find this as useful as I do. Please contact me with any questions prior to purchasing.
