Two page handout for a graphic art class that describes the basic visual symbols in the language of art. The elements of art are:
line, shape, form, space, color, value and texture. Deals with the COLOR SCHEME – plan for organizing color based on the color wheel. Monochromatic – is a color scheme using only one color
(shades, tints and tones of one color); low contrast; strong unifying effect.
Analogous – is a color scheme using four colors that are next to each other on the color wheel, sharing a common primary hue; low contrast.
Triadic – is a color scheme using 3 colors evenly spaced on the color wheel from each other; medium contrast.
