Product Description
This lesson is designed to introduce students to ballet and storytelling terminology. Students will be able to speak clearly about specific aspects of the ballet (groupings & force) and about specific aspects of theatrical performances (costumes, scenery, and characters). Students will use their knowledge of the interrelationship between characters, scenery and costumes as they become the artistic director of their own version of the Nutcracker. They will create a new character from the “Land of Sweets” and design scenery and a costume for their character. The scenery and costume must make sense with the type of character they choose.
