This is meant as the next step in demonstrating the element of design: line, as an interpretive tool to music. It is a fun activity to the student, but it is also an assessment tool for you, in terms of watching how students perform this task. Do they use the whole sheet, or do they limit themselves to a small area (fear to express?), or scribble from the top left corner in a linear fashion moving to the right as if it were a piece of writing?
