These two documents you can use in three ways: 1) You can use them as a warm-up (sometimes referred to as a bell-ringer) or 2) as an assessment or 3) as a homework assignment. Both documents have an answer key.
They work well in conjunction with three documents that I have in my TpT store: Student References for Elements of Fiction, Literary Devices, and Figurative Language and Sound Devices.
For differentiation purposes, I have included a word/term bank for the Elements of Fiction and Literary Devices activity/assessment. Some students might need to use it. If you plan to score the activity, you could charge points for word/term bank use or set the highest grade at 85%, for example, if a student uses the aid.
