Students will begin this mini unit by completing a digital unit in Google Slides on elements of plot. They take notes on the elements of plot, practice identifying elements of plot, and then complete a plot diagram for their own mock narrative.
The table of contents for the notebook contains the following:
Main parts of a plot diagram
Exposition and inciting incident
What does a plot diagram look like?
Presto: Practicing filling out a plot diagram
Planning our own narrative in a plot diagram
Peer reviewing and revising our plot diagrams
There is an optional extension activity if you would like your students to turn these plot diagrams into full narrative process pieces (essays) with a prompt.
