This activity helps students practice drawing information from the Periodic Table by asking them to use the information given to figure out the missing information. Students can use this to practice figuring out how many electrons, protons and neutrons exists in one atom of each element. It also helps them practice identifying families & calculating atomic mass.
I differentiated this lesson by offering varying levels of access to a copy of the Periodic Table (ie: higher achieving students had to try this activity without a Periodic Table, students who were in the middle were given a basic Periodic Table and students who were struggling used a Periodic Table that included all of the information they need to just fill in the blanks).
Answer key included.
